Truth Prevails

Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007

‘Truth hurts.’
That’s the truth in a nutshell.

That is why some people are just content to hide behind their lies. Some would even lie to your face just so they can appear innocent.

It is merely because of their refusal to admit the truth! And to let their true colors show. They would rather pretend they are invincible than admit the wrong they did.

But somehow, truth prevails. No amount of lying could mask the truth. It will always find its way out. Everything will unravel in its own perfect time. Nothing will stay hidden. In the end, the truth is all that matters.

Taiwan Earthquake

Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007

If my posts seemed delayed, please bear with me as we are experiencing technical difficulties here with regards to internet connection.

An earthquake struck Taiwan recently disrupting the underwater communication cables which connect us to various parts of the world. In short, the internet connection lines here is unbearably slow as the communication companies are still trying to repair the destroyed internet cables.

We are all hoping that speedy internet connection will come back very soon.

The Year That Was

Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007

Year 2006 was a banner year
as I broke barriers
and passed thru them
despite the HUGE hurdles.

Everything I could wish for
Unravels right before me.
From the smallest to the grandest,
God answers all my prayers.

I may have written the book
but I know deep down that
I wasn’t alone amidst the trials
God got it published.

My experience can be summed up in this -
Truly, if you put your life in God’s hands
HE will bless you way beyond
your mind can possibly conceive.

Year 2006 may be over
But another one beckons.
Time doesn’t grind to a halt,
Time waits for no one.

As we usher in the New Year,
may we always look back with gratitude,
look forward to a brighter future
and live the present to the fullest.

Always remember -
Dreams DO COME TRUE!

HAPPY, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!

Christmas Past

Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007

Christmas 2006 was truly magical for me despite being sidelined by an illness (coughs, fever and colds). Thanks to family and friends who have always been very supportive.

I was awed by the obvious display of Christmas spirit amongst people. A part of our country was ravaged by typhoon before the year ended. It was heart-warming to see a lot of people going out of their way to help others by donating food, clothing, money even prayers.

Generosity is a wonderful thing. You give things to people but actually the giver stands to gain the most. It is because generosity is never lost on the people you gave something or assistance to, on the community and most of all, to God. In the process, you never really give something away because what you give always come back to you - a hundredfold. It may not always be in monetary terms but in other equally precious manner.

Take for instance our family. We have this habit of giving away gifts to our neighbors every Christmas. One time, a group of men-strangers harrassed the women in our household by shouting or making fun at them. Unbeknownst to us, the neighbors, upon witnessing the ghastly act, reported the matter to the police. They even filed a complaint to local government officials. The strangers were apprehended and harshly reprimanded.

Generosity does not always mean giving of things. Generosity could also mean giving of oneself. You can do this by spending time with a loved one. Lending an ear to someone in trouble. Giving a smile even to strangers especially those who are in pain.
Share a meal. Offer prayers. These and a whole lot more valiant acts of generosity.

We always equate Christmas with generosity. I believe though that spirit of generosity should be celebrated everyday. This will make Christmas not just a one day event but a year-long celebration for you and your family.
