Armageddon? Or I’m a gettin’ outta here?

atomic-mushroomWhatever the origin, it seems in recent times there are more and more people starting to look at 2012 as some kind of special date. If the message of The Secret is true, it is quite possible we are all going to make it a special date, simply by focusing on it so much.

Some people are looking around the world and seeing the end of the world, not because of conditions matching prophecy of their personal beliefs, but because it seems so many facets of our world are riding the knife edge of disaster.

We have too many people. We have known this for some time but nobody (except the Chinese and the Swiss) is doing anything about it. We have almost seven billion people, breathing, eating, shitting and altering our environment, day by day.

We have a culture that allows 5% - 10% of the population to consume 85% of the resources, and worse, to consume them on a throwaway basis.

We have almost all our industries using and dumping poisons back, almost pure, into the environment where we have to grow our food. Our governments are putting other poisons in the water, purportedly to stop our teeth rotting (a vital concern obviously) and to overcome the fact that our fresh water is becoming toxic to us.

We run an economic system that allows people who produce nothing to drive up the prices of our goods and services to make themselves rich while those at either end of the chain remain constantly broke. We have allowed corporations and banks to determine the conditions in which they will operate, and naively expect them to do things that are good for us all, instead of just good for them.

And we have governments made up of people who will do anything, literally, to get into power – it’s like hiring pedophiles to mind our children. The one group of people who should never be given power are those who so desperately desire it.

So perhaps those who are looking to 2012 are simply seeing that soon, any one of these factors will pass a tipping point, a place where the system can no longer tolerate the condition and it breaks.

End of the World?

mayan-calendar1So what is coming in 2012AD? Should we be scared, will the Earth end or the forces of good and evil engage in the Armageddon of the biblical stories? Or will it be a time of resurrection of Jesus, a growth in cosmic harmony, or an energetic increase allowing greater awareness to all mankind?

There’s been any number of prophecies of doom or end of the world over the years. The Christians have apparently been awaiting it, and predicting every hiccup in society as being the harbinger of the Christ’s return, for most of 2000 years. Almost every culture has some story of how the world will end, or when, from the Tibetans nine billion names of God to the Hopi returning through a siapu into their next world.

But from the Mayans, all we have is the calendar. To be sure we think we know considerably more of them now than we did fifty years ago, but still all that we have is a date back around 3113BCE plus the 5125 years of a baktun, which brings us to 2012AD. At that point, the calendar ends. At that point, the Age ends.

Almost eerily, but nowhere near as exactly, it is also the time of the changing of the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius. It is also close to half the Great year of the Egyptians, when the constellation of Orion reaches the highest point of culmination (where it crosses the North-South meridian) in its Precessional trek up and down the sky.

So we are left wondering about what is coming. Some people are talking a vast surge of fourth dimensional energy to transform the world. According to them some will be ready and will move to the next phase of existence – I’ve never been quite able to work out what these prognosticators think is going to happen to those unable to make the transition. Strangely, all those making this kind of prediction are on the transformative side of the line that determines who goes.

Others see it as a time when Aliens will make themselves known, transforming the world and altering forever our view of ourselves. Still others see it as a crux, a time when the final (?) battle between Good and Evil will rage, fulfilling the biblical prophecies of war and salvation as the Christ comes back to save the faithful.

What is 2012AD?

Sunday, July 5th, 2009

the-cats-eye-nebulaThere seems a growing interest in the year 2012AD, a swell of public concern and interest over what is, after all, a rather obscure relic from the past, the Mayan Long Count calendar. So what is it all about? Why could this be a different date than any other doomsday date?

Well, first, it isn’t a doomsday date. Those implications seem to come from a variety of sources, from people who in ignorance hear the words ‘End of the Age’ and see it as ‘End of the World’ to those who wish to emulate the mainstream media and use hyperbole to attract attention for their book, survival gear or religious dogma.

December 21, 2012 is the date of the Winter Solstice (in the northern hemisphere – summer if you’re south of the equator) when the night of 21st is the shortest night for the north. It’s a date that echoes across religious lines – any number of messiahs and deities have birth dates on 25th of December, three days after the Sun gets impaled on the Southern Cross and the day on which it begins its ‘rebirth’ as it slowly makes its daily path further north each day.

The Mayan calendar is shrouded in considerable mystery. The Spanish Catholics made determined efforts to wipe out all they could find of the Mayan people and their way of life. Every writing they could find was supposedly destroyed, or perhaps, given the voracious maw of the Vatican, transported back there to be stored in their crypts and archives.

By accident, several Mayan manuscripts were missed – they’d been shipped to Germany and France, and for a long time they lay forgotten. Those codices and the carvings on monuments and stone in the Yucatan, have been the subject of considerable debate over the years.

So when someone tells you with certainty, all about the Mayans, be careful what you accept as truth – the chances are they are telling you their prejudices, because we simply don’t know much.

Is there an Unconscious?

Saturday, July 4th, 2009

spotlight1Unconscious - this might be a definition problem. I think the concept of unconscious quite often is used as another way to say subconscious. What is described isn’t a thing of not-knowingness, but rather one of not-awareness.

I’ve posted here about spotlight and floodlight awareness - what is described as unconscious could easily be from the floodlight awareness - the ’spotlight’ Being doesn’t see it and isn’t aware of it but the ‘floodlight’ Being is active and working on the problem until s/he can present it to the spotlight being.

I’ve used this process for a lot of my life. When something comes for which I don’t have (but do need) an answer, I consciously work through it as far as I can. Then once I am satisfied I have thought of all the possibilities, worked out responses to all them, (and still don’t have a best solution) I consign the problem to the ‘back of my brain’ so to speak. I consciously determine to not think of it anymore and to rely on my background processing to find an answer - it usually does. Some time later, while doing something else entirely, I will suddenly have the answer pop out.

But this isn’t ‘unconscious’ but rather a subconscious process - while it isn’t at the focus of my attention, I am still spending mental resources on it - at times, when the problem has been particularly needful, I can almost feel the system whirring in the background as I go about my day.

For me, Un-Conscious would be more along the lines of (say) the reason I came to this life, or perhaps the bias I have towards certain modes of expressing my ethical nature. It is arguable that we pick these things up from childhood, but I am one who deliberately rejected my early life, who found I had to consciously decide my standards and morals by trial and error. And along the way I found there was a basic, a standard which determined which I would accept and which I would not - and I can’t see how it could come from my parents.

Unconscious?

field-aura1I’ve been trying to define how I see the universe, to get some understanding of how all the things I’ve talked about on Spirituality Guide come together. So here are some of my thoughts…

All matter and manifestation in our reality has a common source. That source can show up as matter, as energy or as motive (force) and the ‘As Above, So Below’ rule would imply that we can look around us and see analogies for things that are more basic than this reality in which we live.

Some people see parallels between the levels of human consciousness as described in the works they are studying and the levels of organisation out in the Universe. I don’t think they are saying, for example, that a Star actually IS (say) an Ascended Master, but sometimes it reads as if that is what they are trying to say. They might also be saying that (for example) an Archangel is a galaxy, but again I am unsure.

Where I query this is the ideas as presented in such views, if not actual analogy, would suggest that there is a confusion between Source and Creation - they seem, in my view, to be saying the Source (the Archangel) IS the Galaxy (or whatever is the equivalent level) To me, the Consciousness might be represented here as a form, but it isn’t actually the form. ie. we are represented by bodies, but we aren’t actually just the body.

So I guess what I am saying is, in my view there is nothing specific against the idea that stars (or larger accumulations of mass and energy) might have consciousness attached, but I think they’d be more like our bodies and us. I think I have found out enough to have come to a conclusion that we are more than just a physical mechanism, that the definition of human has to start at consciousness and would include the body as a vehicle. The car analogy works for me – the car is the body but what matters and what controls it is the driver inside.

It’s A Mind Field In Here

Friday, June 26th, 2009

fire1I think there is a lot more (and in another sense, a lot less) to it than the rather mechanistic view they are offering. It is strange but psychology seems determined to stick with the purely physical explanations for the ephemera of human experience while biology seems to be firmly racing in the esoteric direction.

I’ve posted elsewhere here about the work of biologists Rupert Sheldrake and Bruce Lipton involving fields and cells. Now from the findings of epigenetics we are getting research into just what mechanisms are in use to alter the gene expression in the body - and once again we are back to fields.

When a person alters their world view, there are no physical processes that can switch the genes on and off because there is no measurable difference in the brain. But on the other hand, the MIND alters and the mind is a hologram. The owner of the mind makes a change and the field of the mind alters and that change gets conveyed along channels other than the chemical nervous system into every cell, with dramatic, provable results in the DNA of the cells.

It would seem from Lipton’s early work, that the field that is the owner of the donated organ or limb, is still connected to the organ or limb, and maybe remains so until the immunosuppression drugs give time for the new owner to literally replace all the cells with home grown ones which are no longer tagged for the original field.

So the structure of a human would seem to be, A field or perhaps spirit which holds an identity, a field which is generated by the body/brain, an electrical system that communicates across the whole body almost instantaneously, a computational system with both a mainframe in the head as well as distributed processing throughout the body, and a visceral system for physical sustenance and a chemical one for gross messages throughout the system.

Personally I wonder if the body field might be what Sheldrake calls the morphogenetic field (MF) while the Being is a field derived from Source. I think maybe the Spirit comes to experience and the MF learns along the way. I speculate that if the MF learns enough, perhaps it can maintain identity instead of being absorbed back into the Earth or species MF and so we get past life memories.

Or perhaps it is Spirit which, if it achieves a high enough level, might maintain identity or self enough to carry along memories of prior existence.

But it seems fairly reasonable, from the findings of biology and those researching energy medicine and energy psychology, that to be a human is far beyond being a body.

Brain Dead? How About No Brain?

Thursday, June 18th, 2009

human-brainI talked about the micro fibre system throughout the body that appears to be the actual pathways used for the acupuncture practices that have been passed down to us for several thousand years. This high speed transmission system resolves some puzzling issues left over from our study of nerves. But this isn’t the only new system to be found throughout the body.

There is also connective tissue system - you’ve probably seen schematics of muscles with a sheath around the fibres that leads down to the ligaments which connect to the bone. The structure of these up-till-now ignored tissues is semiconductor-like. In other words it can differentiate in signal direction. It’s also layered in ways similar to our computer arrays. There appear to be structures which resemble both processor and memory semiconductors.

These tissues also have links into and out of every cell in the body. So we now have both an extremely fast signal system (more than ten times faster than nerve transmission) operating with micro-currents, that runs all through the body, as well as a processing system that connects electrically into every cell in the body.

And we have no possible motivator for our impulses to be found in the physical systems – in other words, by the ways cells work, we don’t have anything we can point to and say, ‘that cell (or whatever) makes the decision to start a movement.’ This may not seem strange until you think it through. Psychology is telling us we are just a body and a brain, that all behavior can be explained by the amazingly complex processes occurring in the grey matter we all carry around with us.

Which turns out not to be the case. There are documented cases of people with very little grey matter who somehow still lead ‘normal’ lives, going to school, learning & participating in life from a condition that makes ‘brain dead’ seem like a vibrant living condition. They literally are missing very large parts of their brains.

The view from the field of psychology cannot account for such people at all.

Information Superhighway of our Body

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

highwayIn recent research, what they have found comes from trying to understand the epigenetic process. Being able to very quickly find out which genes are expressed brought a few shocks when they discovered some can express within a minute or so of an event.

It became even stranger when they found the events could be imagined - similar or even the same process as to why the placebo effect works.

First, there is a system similar to nerves that runs throughout the body, but it seems to work electrically rather than chemically - this makes signal transmission VERY fast compared to nerves. there’s always been a problem trying to understand how a batsman or batter can actually and reliably hit a ball - there simply isn’t time for nerves to carry the signal as well as the brain processing supposedly needed to calculate the trajectory. This system might be the answer to such problems.

This micro-fibre system seems to be piezo-electric. ie. it generates electrical signals based on pressure. Interestingly it comes to the surface of the skin in particular places and we can measure the resistance at these spots - the resistance drops remarkably exactly on them while a spot a millimetre away has normal skin resistance. Even more interestingly, those locations were mapped nearly 5000 years back under a system often derided called Acupuncture.

Given the finely tuned instruments needed to find these points, whether we talk microscopes or multimeters, the wonder is that somehow, ancient mystics found and mapped the network of pathways which make up this superfast transmission system – and they supposedly had no idea what electricity is!

And if that doesn’t make one start to think, one is brain dead.

Imagine this…

raindrops
From BeliefMakr, a poster over on 2012 Forums

I found this a very thought-provoking trip into imagination - and it fits with how I view things about God and the Universe, just from the point of view of THE ALL rather than one of the creations.

    Imagine This…

A cloud. Or rather, a fog bank.

Imagine dreaming of being in a dense fog.

It is thick.

It is thicker than any fog you have ever been in.

You slip deeper into the dream, forgetting everything except the dream.

You cannot see your own hand the fog is so thick. It is also brightly lit. Back lit, like a million flood lights surround you from every direction. The bright, white light is warm and inviting. It seems to fill your very being.
Now imagine, not only being in this fog, but, since it is a dream, you have no body. You are floating within this thick fog. It is now just your mind surrounded by a fog that seems to go on forever.

Since you have no form, no body; your mind and the fog merge. In a real way your mind and the fog become one and the same. You try to move through this fog, but you cannot tell what movement is anymore. You will yourself up, down, left right, but it is for nothing. The fog appears endless in every direction. You and the fog are one.

But the brightness of it is soothing. You are not afraid. There are no worries. It appears as though nothing exists but you. Just your thoughts filling an endless, bright cloud.

Now, in this dream, you don’t remember it ever being any different. Without movement, there is no sense of time. You just “are”. No beginning. No end. You are the fog. You are pure conscious energy. You are all that is.

That is the beginning of the dream. Now here is where it gets interesting…

Does the fog fill your mind? Or does your mind fill the fog? The answer is yes to both. Your mind is the fog. The powerful white light is the energy that feeds your mind. Yet, you are the light. It permeates every spot in the endless fog. There is no top or bottom. You can imagine yourself shrinking smaller than a theoretical point or expanding larger than any universe. But there is nothing with which to judge against. It is just you, as the light, as the fog. One and the same. It is all there is.

But you have your imagination. You have your will. Could there be something else if you imagined?
You feel a kink develop in the fog. A twist of your energy. It is still you. It is still your energy. But now it is a spatial reference. You mind can move closer or further away from this kink of energy. You can expand your mind so it is a barely visible dot with in you. Or you can shrink down so much that you could almost fit your consciousness through the kink.

From this perspective, you can see your energy flowing through the kink. This braid stays in place only because you imagine it will. You know you could move your consciousness through the twist if you wanted, but something else comes to mind.

From your point of view, the braid has a distinct beginning and a distinct end. The ends are locations within the fog. Despite having a spatial reference now. You still have no sense of time. The braid, from beginning to end, simply is. You “zoom in” for a closer look. Within the kink, there seems to be endless possibilities.

You imagine beings trying to navigate through those endless possibilities as they travel from one end of the braid to the other. They are “kinks” within the “kink”; or braids within the braid.

Your imagining it makes them so.

Instantly, the energy within the kink becomes conscious. It is a consciousness separate from yours. As it passes through and out the other end, the experiences it met along its journey reunite with your consciousness. You feel the joy, the suffering, all of it. You are amazed to learn that your imagined creatures had their own thoughts and ideas and imaginations separate from you. They have your will and sense of creativity. While these “energy patterns” exist within the kink of energy, they feel separate from you.

As they emerge from the other side, something wonderful occurs. Their energy, which is you, retains a certain “color” that is unique. This causes you, as the great white-lit fog, to sparkle. Each individual sparkle is different from all the rest, but still a part of you. Each of their individual thoughts joins yours as a collective of thoughts.

Yet it is still all just you.

Filled with creative purpose, you imagine infinite kinks with an infinite choice of experiences waiting within each. Your energy flows through all of them as you absorb and delight in the variety. Each kink acts as a prism, splitting your energy into an infinite rainbow.

But you still have no sense of time. Because you do not experience movement directly. All of this happens all at once. It is though it has always been this way. Since your consciousness can orient itself various ways within your fog, you slow yourself down, shrink yourself down lower and slower than you’ve ever done. Until, at last, your direct consciousness pushes into one end of your imagined kinks.

From this point of view your endless time collapses. No longer does everything happen all at once. Now, in order to get to the other end of the kink, you must pass through time, one moment after another. But the fog has been pushed back to reveal something called space which can be measured and traveled through.

You are struck by how lonely and isolated you feel. The physicality of this life is so strong it blots out the eternal memories you once had. Those that you imagined are even less fortunate. They have no recollection of you or their source. But their will and their creativity are a sublime beauty to watch; even when it is destructive.
You try this experience many times. You try to offer guidance to your creatures. You try to tell them, using their own cultural references, just who and what they are. Most times, their own experiences color their understanding of what you tell them. They see you sometimes as a god, sometimes a prophet, but often times as a threat. The very creatures you imagined into being often kill you out of fear.

But it’s okay. Once outside the kink again, you are who you are and all is well. Without the constraints of time passage, you can travel into this or any other kink at any moment of “kink” time. You and your creations can experience physical reality at any moment in that particular reality’s time. Life can be experienced first at the end of the kink known as “the end of days” and then again in another life at the beginning of civilization; in any order, as often as desired.

The realities you’ve created are mere “experience locations”. They can pop in and out of existence as you will. In truth, you are richer for having created those infinite realities and all of the infinite inhabitants. But in sum total, you are all there is.

Tools for Sanity

genie-in-your-genesOnce we step back from the emotions and engage reason, we can begin to see simple ways we can start making change. The ones I suggested above are practically risk-free, and there’s not a government in the world who would dare tackle you for buying from local producers instead of overseas corporations. Not yet anyway. And you will stimulate your local economy, circulating money out of reach of the grasping claws of the powergrubbers.

See if there’s a Barter system set up in your area. See if a group of you can start one. You can trade skills or personal work, or home-made products for things you need.

If you find someone who does things the old ways, support them. Stop going to McDonalds and Walmart and pay the little extra it takes to keep the little guys alive.

There are lots of things you can do if you put your mind to it, but first you have to take back your mind. Get the EFT manual - it’s a whopping 670KB in size. try it out and if you honestly do it and it doesn’t work, come back here and call me an idiot.

If you’d like a rationale as to why EFT works, get hold of Dawson Church’s The Genie in Your Genes and see where the Science is taking us. You certainly are NOT going to hear about it on the MSM - the big pharma’s have no interest in cures or non-drug treatments and the manipulators don’t want you so much better you might being to think clearly.

Stop using fluoride. Get a filter that will remove it from any water you consume. Some refuse to even use it for washing etc but at the least, stop ingesting the shit. You owe it to your body.

And here’s the BIGGIE! Stop watching TV. Seriously, it is damaging you on levels you will not believe until you give it up.

Take back your life, take back your mind and look around for things you can do to make both of them better.

Why Are Things Like This?

Sunday, June 14th, 2009

kid-fishingWe are taught, of course, that we aren’t conformist, but Monty Python tells truth in the scene where all the jeans and T-shirt brigade are gathered to listen to a speaker who says ‘We are all non-conformists!’ and the little guy who isn’t wearing the jeans and T-shirt uniform says, timidly, ‘I’m not!’

Why don’t we revolt? Because we have been educated into believing we are helpless, we are in the best of all worlds, and that there is no alternative. Look at the US view of the Middle East. The average American sees them as pretty much savages, lucky enough to be sitting on oil, who for some unknown or poorly understood reason, just happen to hate all Americans.

Why do they think this? Because that is what they have been shown, over and over, with symbols that stir the heart to back the message, to drive it home in deep beyond the censorship that a reasoning mind would put in place as it realised that, just like Americans, those of the Middle East are people also. They have opinions, they have lifestyles and they have dreams and hopes for their kids.

But, just as is happening in the Middle East, the people are being programmed by manipulators with a black and white message that leaves no room for a middle ground. It’s the ‘we’re good and they are evil’ message that is ALWAYS put out when the leaders want war. You have to demonise the opposition before you can convince people to go murder other people.

I think the trick is to try to step back from the emotions. EFT is a good way to start this process. Emotional Freedom Technique is easy and effective and you don’t have to believe it to let it work. You can discharge the fear, let go the anger and engage thinking in a creative way. And you can get the manual free, no catches, and although you can go on to buy stuff relating to EFT, the manual is all you need.

Paradigm Changers

kid-fishing
Here’s a few things to look at which might help alter how you view your world.

One: Education - for 100 years now the western education model has been about producing obedient and easily manipulated workers or, when needed, cannon-fodder. Seriously. Do some research on it and look who designed the current models and what their stated goals were. Look up Charlotte Thompson Iserbyt and J.T. Gatto for modern references.

From – “Underground History of American Education”
The secret of American schooling is that it doesn’t teach the way children learn, and it isn’t supposed to; school was engineered to serve a concealed command economy and a deliberately re-stratified social order. It wasn’t made for the benefit of kids and families as those individuals and institutions would define their own needs.

Two: Fluoride - again, look it up and see what it was used for in the 2nd World War. Look at why it was introduced into our water supplies, and look at the supposed benefits it doesn’t actually deliver - and yet it is mandated in communities on a wholesale scale. Alcohol kills hundreds of thousands every year and yet is legal - holes in our teeth are apparently enough to have laws passed to enforce a cancer-linked poison in our water supplies.

Three: Media - everything is made out to be unstoppable, our lives are inundated with bad news, with terror and causes of fear. Fear provokes a fight or flight reflex, at which point resources in the body get diverted from pro-life functions in the viscera and immune areas and even the higher brain functions shut down. That’s why the age-old caution is not to make decisions when you are upset - you literally aren’t as smart as when you are calm and relaxed.

As a nice side effect (for those who are manipulating) they can do things like hype up diseases like, oh, I don’t know, flu, and the generated fear will actually make people more susceptible to the virus.

On top of that, while we focus on the source of fear, we spotlight those areas to the exclusion of things that would normally make us react, and those things pass by almost unnoticed.

Four: The tall-poppy syndrome. The Education system has made us a bunch of conformists and we tear down anyone who looks, sounds or acts differently - until they get to a level where we can look up to them as an authority. Then suddenly they are ‘our boy made good’ and not the nutcase from down the road we used to like tripping as he wandered by.

What Can We Do?

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

ngc5128If our Education is not in our best interests, if our spiritual leaders are not actually giving us a way to personal enlightenment or salvation, and if the media and governments are playing us for fools as they take our freedoms and lives, what can we do about it?

For most of us, the idea of action or activism brings to mind confrontation, danger and violence, probably against our own person. This seems to put it in the all too hard basket and the problems seem insurmountable.

So, as normal people in an increasingly complex and controlled world, what can we do about the situation?

A couple of things come immediately to mind. Learn what is being done to us and why. It means doing some research, but it is out there on the web.

The major advantage we have in our lives is the ability to change our condition – it is perfectly possible to shrug off the effects of years of programming… sorry, schooling, and find new ways to view life. We can learn new things that alter how we view entire realms of things we once thought of as basic fact. It is called a paradigm shift.

The paradigm or basic understanding of something alters when we learn a new piece of information that changes the balance of the things we knew. In earlier posts I talked about the landscape of Mind, and how the rain of information can erode valleys, cause gullies and outcrops to form, and, stretching the analogy a little further, how it might be possible for a pond or lake of information to build behind a stubborn fact. Then one day, a particular droplet of knowledge undermines the rock of ‘fact’ & it tumbles, releasing the dammed up lake and causing a major change in the landscape.

That is a paradigm shift. The one droplet seems inconsequential in the overall scheme of things but it is the exact piece needed to move the block, and major changes come from it.

Dumb Spirituality

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

thinker1In our schools most children have their joy of learning knocked about. Some few who happen to enjoy the learning style or who have an aptitude for picking up facts quickly, can pass through the system and come out as the stars used to encourage others to conform. And here and there, there are those for whom the system is irrelevant - unfortunately those that can go through the processes and come out still sane and healthy are few and far between - mostly they get it kicked out of them early and they become the problem child.

It’s quite a journey going back and looking at just who decided on the Education system and why. While some of the names involved are deemed stellar personalities by our modern world, when you look at why they involved themselves and who they represented, they become far more sinister.

The path to Spirituality has been corrupted from a time far earlier than the late 1800’s - with far more time to enact what seems obviously a plan, they have made it very difficult for the majority of people to even conceive of the benefits of finding the inner being - instead we mostly lock it away and live in a surface persona that can respond and interact in ‘approved’ ways. This process is so effective we, at the least, shy away from those who are finding themselves and at worst, we actively connive with others to bring them back into the fold.

The Intervention process is a good one for when someone is going off the rails to the point of self damage in a variety of ways, but I’ve seen it used simply because someone was having thoughts that didn’t agree, or worse, conflicted with those of the oversight. It is in such things we get pointers to the processes being run on us, to the unseen hands pushing us down paths which, were we in full possession of ourselves, strong in both self and floodlight awareness, we would refuse to go.

The good news is, I think, that once a being sees any of the influences that take away our free choice, it is an internal process to start on the path back to self-hood and we are in an age where we don’t have to journey to Alexandria or some mystical place to find information. And when we find the information, we have opportunity to apply it and learn from it and build foundations that allow us to consciously withstand the pressures for conformity being foisted on us by media and peers.

The Spirituality Values

Monday, June 8th, 2009

spotlight1Science is finding that meditation and prayer have quantifiable benefits, but only when done personally and with involvement from deep in ourselves, yet how many of us have been taught structured prayers to say, meaningless patter that doesn’t require any personal level of attachment to the words?

The chakras need to be known about before they can be used, trained, activated or whatever process we wish to use on them. Directed energy seems to be able to have effects on others - someone who has worked on their energy system can noticeably affect the kirlian patterns of another person.

There are two levels of awareness we all have, the spotlight and the floodlight.

The spotlight you are familiar with, it starts in class or maybe before… ‘pay attention’ ‘look at me’ etc. It is when we look through the tiny pinhole of clear sight in our field of vision, when we bring our attention onto a specific thing, concentrating on it and ignoring the rest of the input we are constantly receiving.
We have been carefully focussed (sorry) on the spotlight throughout our lives. Those who can’t activate it at will or who get distracted by the rest of the sensorium are labelled with ADD.

The other kind you are also familiar with but probably don’t know it. The floodlight is all the rest, from peripheral vision through to the ongoing input of information flooding the senses that aren’t being used for spotlighting. When we drive with a friend, we can happily chat with them all the way to the destination, concentrating on the conversation and thoughts involved in the interaction. When we get where we are going we often can’t recall the journey - yet all the way we were driving, steering, watching traffic, noting the conditions, the road, the signs. The driving was being done with floodlight attention while we spotlighted with our friend.

This is the awareness spoken of by the native tribes, by the shamans and sages. When we release the fixed focus of the spotlight and let the world flow in and become aware of it, not fixing our attention on anything in particular but just Being there, Being Aware of the world in all its complexity.

And it is in those moments of Floodlighting we can become aware of the simulation and of the connectedness of All.
