I think there is a lot more (and in another sense, a lot less) to it than the rather mechanistic view they are offering. It is strange but psychology seems determined to stick with the purely physical explanations for the ephemera of human experience while biology seems to be firmly racing in the esoteric direction.
I’ve posted elsewhere here about the work of biologists Rupert Sheldrake and Bruce Lipton involving fields and cells. Now from the findings of epigenetics we are getting research into just what mechanisms are in use to alter the gene expression in the body - and once again we are back to fields.
When a person alters their world view, there are no physical processes that can switch the genes on and off because there is no measurable difference in the brain. But on the other hand, the MIND alters and the mind is a hologram. The owner of the mind makes a change and the field of the mind alters and that change gets conveyed along channels other than the chemical nervous system into every cell, with dramatic, provable results in the DNA of the cells.
It would seem from Lipton’s early work, that the field that is the owner of the donated organ or limb, is still connected to the organ or limb, and maybe remains so until the immunosuppression drugs give time for the new owner to literally replace all the cells with home grown ones which are no longer tagged for the original field.
So the structure of a human would seem to be, A field or perhaps spirit which holds an identity, a field which is generated by the body/brain, an electrical system that communicates across the whole body almost instantaneously, a computational system with both a mainframe in the head as well as distributed processing throughout the body, and a visceral system for physical sustenance and a chemical one for gross messages throughout the system.
Personally I wonder if the body field might be what Sheldrake calls the morphogenetic field (MF) while the Being is a field derived from Source. I think maybe the Spirit comes to experience and the MF learns along the way. I speculate that if the MF learns enough, perhaps it can maintain identity instead of being absorbed back into the Earth or species MF and so we get past life memories.
Or perhaps it is Spirit which, if it achieves a high enough level, might maintain identity or self enough to carry along memories of prior existence.
But it seems fairly reasonable, from the findings of biology and those researching energy medicine and energy psychology, that to be a human is far beyond being a body.

We now have building evidence of how changing a mind can alter which genes are being expressed on an almost real-time rate.
We also have cell structures that alter regularly - neurons turn out to have a ’skeletal’ structure which rebnews almost hourly, which is why the brain can restructure so readily when new information comes in and also goes some way towards explaining the plasticity of memory.
So yes, Attitude may not only be important, it could very well be the entirety of the causative factors that determine significant amounts of our daily lives.
It’s interesting to note, just in how many areas the orthodox view of biology is being rewritten.
It’s been something I’ve puzzled over a long time - why does the body have an electrical nature? It actually doesn’t seem necessary for nerves - that’s a (from memory) sodium/calcium process where ions are exchanged and the ‘electrical’ signals of the brain don’t seem to be needed in the body, yet the whole body has an electrical field so sensitive that we can detect mood by measuring skin resistance changes.
Now we’re beginning to understand why. If we look at the body as a building, we’ve been looking at the elevators and saying, ‘that’s how buildings communicate’ and now we’re finding the phone and closed-circuit TV systems. Guys like Sheldrake and Lipton are looking at the microwave antenna on the roof and starting to define how the building receives input from the owner. Others are defining the ways in which maintenance gets told by the tenants which systems to run and which aren’t important enough to prioritise. And we’re starting to map the information channels into each room so we can organise more effectively both the local room activity AND the co-ordination of the building output.

So far, I’ve talked about a fibre system that sends very fast impulses around the body. I’ve also mentioned in passing a system which, looking at structure, seems to mimic the functions of a computer chip array – it can process and store information, and it also links into every cell in the body.
What we are talking about is a system that can be used to send data to every cell and receive responses back very rapidly.
But this isn’t the end of the puzzles being brought forward because of amazing advances in the technology. There is evidence from organ and other transplants to suggest that dead peoples’ personalities can somehow be transferred along with the limb or organ.
There are documented cases of traits that were known to be fundamental to the now-dead donor and alien to the recipient, being found in the life of the recipient. They can be as ephemeral as a change in taste for art or as radical as a sudden interest in something very much out of the ordinary.
This is something else the ‘we are only physical’ people have a problem with – there is nothing in their lexicon that can define a method by which a dead person could be influencing a living person they have neither met nor heard of – in either direction!
Add to this the fact we cannot find the decision cell and we are facing a major mystery – what is Man that we can make decisions without a physical mechanism, and that we can forward on traits and quirks that are very much associated with personality and mentality, via an organ or limb?

I talked about the micro fibre system throughout the body that appears to be the actual pathways used for the acupuncture practices that have been passed down to us for several thousand years. This high speed transmission system resolves some puzzling issues left over from our study of nerves. But this isn’t the only new system to be found throughout the body.
There is also connective tissue system - you’ve probably seen schematics of muscles with a sheath around the fibres that leads down to the ligaments which connect to the bone. The structure of these up-till-now ignored tissues is semiconductor-like. In other words it can differentiate in signal direction. It’s also layered in ways similar to our computer arrays. There appear to be structures which resemble both processor and memory semiconductors.
These tissues also have links into and out of every cell in the body. So we now have both an extremely fast signal system (more than ten times faster than nerve transmission) operating with micro-currents, that runs all through the body, as well as a processing system that connects electrically into every cell in the body.
And we have no possible motivator for our impulses to be found in the physical systems – in other words, by the ways cells work, we don’t have anything we can point to and say, ‘that cell (or whatever) makes the decision to start a movement.’ This may not seem strange until you think it through. Psychology is telling us we are just a body and a brain, that all behavior can be explained by the amazingly complex processes occurring in the grey matter we all carry around with us.
Which turns out not to be the case. There are documented cases of people with very little grey matter who somehow still lead ‘normal’ lives, going to school, learning & participating in life from a condition that makes ‘brain dead’ seem like a vibrant living condition. They literally are missing very large parts of their brains.
The view from the field of psychology cannot account for such people at all.

In recent research, what they have found comes from trying to understand the epigenetic process. Being able to very quickly find out which genes are expressed brought a few shocks when they discovered some can express within a minute or so of an event.
It became even stranger when they found the events could be imagined - similar or even the same process as to why the placebo effect works.
First, there is a system similar to nerves that runs throughout the body, but it seems to work electrically rather than chemically - this makes signal transmission VERY fast compared to nerves. there’s always been a problem trying to understand how a batsman or batter can actually and reliably hit a ball - there simply isn’t time for nerves to carry the signal as well as the brain processing supposedly needed to calculate the trajectory. This system might be the answer to such problems.
This micro-fibre system seems to be piezo-electric. ie. it generates electrical signals based on pressure. Interestingly it comes to the surface of the skin in particular places and we can measure the resistance at these spots - the resistance drops remarkably exactly on them while a spot a millimetre away has normal skin resistance. Even more interestingly, those locations were mapped nearly 5000 years back under a system often derided called Acupuncture.
Given the finely tuned instruments needed to find these points, whether we talk microscopes or multimeters, the wonder is that somehow, ancient mystics found and mapped the network of pathways which make up this superfast transmission system – and they supposedly had no idea what electricity is!
And if that doesn’t make one start to think, one is brain dead.

Once we step back from the emotions and engage reason, we can begin to see simple ways we can start making change. The ones I suggested above are practically risk-free, and there’s not a government in the world who would dare tackle you for buying from local producers instead of overseas corporations. Not yet anyway. And you will stimulate your local economy, circulating money out of reach of the grasping claws of the powergrubbers.
See if there’s a Barter system set up in your area. See if a group of you can start one. You can trade skills or personal work, or home-made products for things you need.
If you find someone who does things the old ways, support them. Stop going to McDonalds and Walmart and pay the little extra it takes to keep the little guys alive.
There are lots of things you can do if you put your mind to it, but first you have to take back your mind. Get the EFT manual - it’s a whopping 670KB in size. try it out and if you honestly do it and it doesn’t work, come back here and call me an idiot.
If you’d like a rationale as to why EFT works, get hold of Dawson Church’s The Genie in Your Genes and see where the Science is taking us. You certainly are NOT going to hear about it on the MSM - the big pharma’s have no interest in cures or non-drug treatments and the manipulators don’t want you so much better you might being to think clearly.
Stop using fluoride. Get a filter that will remove it from any water you consume. Some refuse to even use it for washing etc but at the least, stop ingesting the shit. You owe it to your body.
And here’s the BIGGIE! Stop watching TV. Seriously, it is damaging you on levels you will not believe until you give it up.
Take back your life, take back your mind and look around for things you can do to make both of them better.

We are taught, of course, that we aren’t conformist, but Monty Python tells truth in the scene where all the jeans and T-shirt brigade are gathered to listen to a speaker who says ‘We are all non-conformists!’ and the little guy who isn’t wearing the jeans and T-shirt uniform says, timidly, ‘I’m not!’
Why don’t we revolt? Because we have been educated into believing we are helpless, we are in the best of all worlds, and that there is no alternative. Look at the US view of the Middle East. The average American sees them as pretty much savages, lucky enough to be sitting on oil, who for some unknown or poorly understood reason, just happen to hate all Americans.
Why do they think this? Because that is what they have been shown, over and over, with symbols that stir the heart to back the message, to drive it home in deep beyond the censorship that a reasoning mind would put in place as it realised that, just like Americans, those of the Middle East are people also. They have opinions, they have lifestyles and they have dreams and hopes for their kids.
But, just as is happening in the Middle East, the people are being programmed by manipulators with a black and white message that leaves no room for a middle ground. It’s the ‘we’re good and they are evil’ message that is ALWAYS put out when the leaders want war. You have to demonise the opposition before you can convince people to go murder other people.
I think the trick is to try to step back from the emotions. EFT is a good way to start this process. Emotional Freedom Technique is easy and effective and you don’t have to believe it to let it work. You can discharge the fear, let go the anger and engage thinking in a creative way. And you can get the manual free, no catches, and although you can go on to buy stuff relating to EFT, the manual is all you need.

Here’s a few things to look at which might help alter how you view your world.
One: Education - for 100 years now the western education model has been about producing obedient and easily manipulated workers or, when needed, cannon-fodder. Seriously. Do some research on it and look who designed the current models and what their stated goals were. Look up Charlotte Thompson Iserbyt and J.T. Gatto for modern references.
From – “Underground History of American Education”
The secret of American schooling is that it doesn’t teach the way children learn, and it isn’t supposed to; school was engineered to serve a concealed command economy and a deliberately re-stratified social order. It wasn’t made for the benefit of kids and families as those individuals and institutions would define their own needs.
Two: Fluoride - again, look it up and see what it was used for in the 2nd World War. Look at why it was introduced into our water supplies, and look at the supposed benefits it doesn’t actually deliver - and yet it is mandated in communities on a wholesale scale. Alcohol kills hundreds of thousands every year and yet is legal - holes in our teeth are apparently enough to have laws passed to enforce a cancer-linked poison in our water supplies.
Three: Media - everything is made out to be unstoppable, our lives are inundated with bad news, with terror and causes of fear. Fear provokes a fight or flight reflex, at which point resources in the body get diverted from pro-life functions in the viscera and immune areas and even the higher brain functions shut down. That’s why the age-old caution is not to make decisions when you are upset - you literally aren’t as smart as when you are calm and relaxed.
As a nice side effect (for those who are manipulating) they can do things like hype up diseases like, oh, I don’t know, flu, and the generated fear will actually make people more susceptible to the virus.
On top of that, while we focus on the source of fear, we spotlight those areas to the exclusion of things that would normally make us react, and those things pass by almost unnoticed.
Four: The tall-poppy syndrome. The Education system has made us a bunch of conformists and we tear down anyone who looks, sounds or acts differently - until they get to a level where we can look up to them as an authority. Then suddenly they are ‘our boy made good’ and not the nutcase from down the road we used to like tripping as he wandered by.

If our Education is not in our best interests, if our spiritual leaders are not actually giving us a way to personal enlightenment or salvation, and if the media and governments are playing us for fools as they take our freedoms and lives, what can we do about it?
For most of us, the idea of action or activism brings to mind confrontation, danger and violence, probably against our own person. This seems to put it in the all too hard basket and the problems seem insurmountable.
So, as normal people in an increasingly complex and controlled world, what can we do about the situation?
A couple of things come immediately to mind. Learn what is being done to us and why. It means doing some research, but it is out there on the web.
The major advantage we have in our lives is the ability to change our condition – it is perfectly possible to shrug off the effects of years of programming… sorry, schooling, and find new ways to view life. We can learn new things that alter how we view entire realms of things we once thought of as basic fact. It is called a paradigm shift.
The paradigm or basic understanding of something alters when we learn a new piece of information that changes the balance of the things we knew. In earlier posts I talked about the landscape of Mind, and how the rain of information can erode valleys, cause gullies and outcrops to form, and, stretching the analogy a little further, how it might be possible for a pond or lake of information to build behind a stubborn fact. Then one day, a particular droplet of knowledge undermines the rock of ‘fact’ & it tumbles, releasing the dammed up lake and causing a major change in the landscape.
That is a paradigm shift. The one droplet seems inconsequential in the overall scheme of things but it is the exact piece needed to move the block, and major changes come from it.

The information is not stored in the brain, but in the Mind. Minds are what brains do. The hologram field that is the tool of our active consciousness is, for all practical purposes, infinite in capacity. Even when the input channels get overloaded, the incredible capacity for associating and sorting in the brain will increase to handle it - that’s why neurons can develop new connections and why they are ‘refreshed’ so quickly - the brain can adjust.
The problem is, I think, not a matter at all of Information Overload, but rather of MIS-Information Overload. I think we are being bombarded constantly by BS from the media, from our governments, from advertising and from religion, and the ratio of shit to sugar has increased beyond our ability to detect the differences. The shite comes loaded in symbols actively designed to trigger processes in us and whatever truth there might be coming at us gets smothered in the avalanche of BS.
And just to make sure we can’t determine the differences, our children (and us in the past) have been cheated of Education by a system that sets us up as feedback robots. In other words, let an authority tell us something and we have a pretence of thought about it but we will feed back what was told us in the drill classes that are schools.
We are trained to live in our Spotlight Awareness, focus all the time on the immediate NOW moment, putting all our processing behind what is being fed to us. We have lost sight of the fact (and it is a fact) that we have an entire other level of awareness, the Floodlight Awareness, that can take in all the rest of the environment and make sense of it in different ways to that of the Spotlight.
We can focus only on a tiny part of the information coming at us every second, which is why advertising works - they give us an up-front story to engage our focus, usually using sex, but sometimes other trigger symbols, and feed the misinformation in through the neglected Floodlight Awareness and because we are so engaged in the focus level, we don’t censor or even register the messages coming at us from the periphery of awareness.
But it is impossible for the mere humans doing this stuff to get the level of coherence achieved by Reality, so this misinformation coming in starts to creates mismatches in the association process - and because it is coming in with the authorioty of symbolism behind it, it creates direct conflict with other ‘known’ facts.
I think this is the source of confusion, not that we are learning so much more now as the spiral of growth in knowledge tightens. I think we can handle all that, even if we need to learn greater finesse in selectivity - what we cannot handle are the lies, the manipulations of truth and the control mechanisms being implanted in us by the media around us.

In our schools most children have their joy of learning knocked about. Some few who happen to enjoy the learning style or who have an aptitude for picking up facts quickly, can pass through the system and come out as the stars used to encourage others to conform. And here and there, there are those for whom the system is irrelevant - unfortunately those that can go through the processes and come out still sane and healthy are few and far between - mostly they get it kicked out of them early and they become the problem child.
It’s quite a journey going back and looking at just who decided on the Education system and why. While some of the names involved are deemed stellar personalities by our modern world, when you look at why they involved themselves and who they represented, they become far more sinister.
The path to Spirituality has been corrupted from a time far earlier than the late 1800’s - with far more time to enact what seems obviously a plan, they have made it very difficult for the majority of people to even conceive of the benefits of finding the inner being - instead we mostly lock it away and live in a surface persona that can respond and interact in ‘approved’ ways. This process is so effective we, at the least, shy away from those who are finding themselves and at worst, we actively connive with others to bring them back into the fold.
The Intervention process is a good one for when someone is going off the rails to the point of self damage in a variety of ways, but I’ve seen it used simply because someone was having thoughts that didn’t agree, or worse, conflicted with those of the oversight. It is in such things we get pointers to the processes being run on us, to the unseen hands pushing us down paths which, were we in full possession of ourselves, strong in both self and floodlight awareness, we would refuse to go.
The good news is, I think, that once a being sees any of the influences that take away our free choice, it is an internal process to start on the path back to self-hood and we are in an age where we don’t have to journey to Alexandria or some mystical place to find information. And when we find the information, we have opportunity to apply it and learn from it and build foundations that allow us to consciously withstand the pressures for conformity being foisted on us by media and peers.

Science is finding that meditation and prayer have quantifiable benefits, but only when done personally and with involvement from deep in ourselves, yet how many of us have been taught structured prayers to say, meaningless patter that doesn’t require any personal level of attachment to the words?
The chakras need to be known about before they can be used, trained, activated or whatever process we wish to use on them. Directed energy seems to be able to have effects on others - someone who has worked on their energy system can noticeably affect the kirlian patterns of another person.
There are two levels of awareness we all have, the spotlight and the floodlight.
The spotlight you are familiar with, it starts in class or maybe before… ‘pay attention’ ‘look at me’ etc. It is when we look through the tiny pinhole of clear sight in our field of vision, when we bring our attention onto a specific thing, concentrating on it and ignoring the rest of the input we are constantly receiving.
We have been carefully focussed (sorry) on the spotlight throughout our lives. Those who can’t activate it at will or who get distracted by the rest of the sensorium are labelled with ADD.
The other kind you are also familiar with but probably don’t know it. The floodlight is all the rest, from peripheral vision through to the ongoing input of information flooding the senses that aren’t being used for spotlighting. When we drive with a friend, we can happily chat with them all the way to the destination, concentrating on the conversation and thoughts involved in the interaction. When we get where we are going we often can’t recall the journey - yet all the way we were driving, steering, watching traffic, noting the conditions, the road, the signs. The driving was being done with floodlight attention while we spotlighted with our friend.
This is the awareness spoken of by the native tribes, by the shamans and sages. When we release the fixed focus of the spotlight and let the world flow in and become aware of it, not fixing our attention on anything in particular but just Being there, Being Aware of the world in all its complexity.
And it is in those moments of Floodlighting we can become aware of the simulation and of the connectedness of All.

Those who are more than 40 years of age tend to look at the learning of the up and coming generation and wonder what they learn in school these days and how some of them seem to be so dumb about basic things. We tend to blame the modern system, or lazy/incompetent teachers.
But the dumbing down began in other ways, a long time ago. We have been detached from our salvation - the Buddha, the Christ and others have all taught that enlightenment, advancement and salvation is about a personal relationship between a person and the sublime (whatever name you wish to give it) But the majority of people grow up within a system where the personal relationship has been superseded by an oversight, someone to tell us what is right and wrong, to tell us the exact minutiae of the path to the Godhead.
All this begs the question of why they do all this. I think the reason is so they can perpetrate other iniquities in relative safety. A population largely untrained in critical thinking processes, uneducated in basic symbolism, and trained to listen to authority as a source of knowledge, can be manipulated and maneuvered, indoctrinated and controlled with little chance of the majority reacting.
And they have that nice little ‘Conspiracy Theorist’ conspiracy theory to take care of those who might see through the curtain. (the CT theory is one I’ve spoken about before – by setting up ridiculous figures to spout all kinds of nonsense about UFOs (for example) the general public has been conditioned to respond to anybody labeled as a Conspiracy Theorist with ridicule, hilarity and derogatory comment. Now, if someone comes forth and tries to explain how ‘group A’ is manipulating things for their own benefit, ‘group A’ simply calls them a Conspiracy Theorist and the general public will obediently ignore any facts that might show group A’s work.
It’s a nice little protection against being found out, and keeps the Powers That Be safe from the exposure that would cause even the dumb sheep of the general population from finding their freedom.

A few posts back I talked about how the politicians and the system is controlling us, taking our freedom and our lvies away from our own control and trapping us more and more within rules and constraints. The question is, how can they do this? How can so many people be allowing such venal types to run our world?
I think they can do it because we’ve been nobbled over a long period – piece by piece, rule by rule, always with the explanations of how justified such things are, we’ve been conned into allowing our children to become victims of a program that doesn’t have either our interests or that of the society we like to think we live in, at heart.
We’ve been dumbed down, in more than one way - Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt has chapter and verse on what the education system has been doing to us.
From http://www.deliberatedumbingdown.com/pages/book.htm
Quote:
Those ten years (1971-1981) changed my life. As an American who had spent many years working abroad, I had experienced traveling in and living in socialist countries. When I returned to the United States I realized that America’s transition from a sovereign constitutional republic to a socialist democracy would not come about through warfare (bullets and tanks) but through the implementation and installation of the “system” in all areas of government-federal, state and local. The brainwashing for acceptance of the “system’s” control would take place in the school-through indoctrination and the use of behavior modification, which comes under so many labels, the most recent labels being Outcome-Based Education, Skinnerian Mastery Learning or Direct Instruction. In the seventies I and many others waged the war against values clarification, which was later renamed “critical thinking,” which regardless of the label-and there are bound to be many more labels on the horizon-is nothing but pure, unadulterated destruction of absolute values of right and wrong upon which stable and free societies depend and upon which our nation was founded.
And from J.T. Gatto’s Underground History of American Education…
Quote:
The secret of American schooling is that it doesn’t teach the way children learn, and it isn’t
supposed to; school was engineered to serve a concealed command economy and a deliberately
re-stratified social order. It wasn’t made for the benefit of kids and families as those individuals
and institutions would define their own needs. School is the first impression children get of
organized society; like most first impressions, it is the lasting one. Life according to school is dull
and stupid, only consumption promises relief: Coke, Big Macs, fashion jeans, that’s where real
meaning is found, that is the classroom’s lesson, however indirectly delivered.
Schooling creates obedient little consumers who can be programmed to accept anything delivered the right way.

In the previous post I talked about the possibilities of the beginnings of both the Universe and of Life. They range from random chance on everything to God making everything happen in an ongoing manner.
There’s a common problem with every one of these - what was there before the Universe? Once we posit that there WAS a ‘Before’ then any of the scenarios becomes possible. This is where the whole Creation argument belongs, while, with the exception of number 5-c, evolution could be a factor in the development of all of them.
Instead Evolutionists like to get pulled into the whole ‘there is no God’ argument and Creationists like to get pulled into the ‘He didn’t need Evolution’ argument. I’ve come to the conclusion that as stated by Edward de Bono, the creation of funnels to categorise things is a very bad thing. More and more the funnellers expand their definitions of ‘other’ to include more and more people who aren’t exactly like themselves.
It starts with (say) Democrat/Republican - the Funneller identifies with all Democrats and everyone else gets dumped through the Republican funnel. But then s/he begins to notice that not all democrats are the same - in fact some have decidedly Republican ideas and leanings - wham, down through the Republican funnel they go. The process continues until the only people who are identified as ‘us’ are those with almost exactly the same ideas, ideals and thoughts as the Democrat.
We see it in the Christian /Islamic/Jewish camps, where they subdivide themselves based on criteria that are meaningless to anyone not of their creed. We see it in Evolutionists where they subdivide according to Absolute Random Chance, Punctuated Random Chance, Guided Evolution etc. We even see it at a higher level where Believers and Atheists are seen as being opposites, yet both are believers - they use the subject of belief to isolate the other group. The true opposite of both of the groups is actually those who have no belief - mostly these are Agnostics. Agnostics withhold belief, preferring to wait for evidence.
Funnels are bad and a lazy way to think. In this debate (Evolution versus Creation or ID) the opponents usually enthusiastically embrace the funnels, willfully dividing the debaters into a variety of labels and spend their time lambasting the opposition with no hope of ever converting them - they aren’t arguing about the same things!
