I Am In Reverence of God - - Are You?

The way to learn the fear of God is to understand and implement respect. Know that God is powerful, but more importantly, act like He is too. Let’s not try to bail ourselves out of our own situations or to fix someone else’s situations that we feel strongly about. Take each and every situation to God, pray and ask His guidance on whatever the problem is. He wants to, will and can fix it a whole lot better than we can. He’s God. And when we are at a loss as to what to do, just do nothing. Respect God by honoring Him as such and being mindful of the power that His abilities carry. Remember parting whole oceans? That’s what He did. And remember droves and droves of bugs and the sun standing still for periods of time? God did that. And, He does things like these in our everyday lives too. The sickness that just disappeared without a trace. God. The bills that went away and you know you didn’t pay them. God again. There’s just no way around it. And I for one am inclined to not only respect that but to see that no matter what I do and how I try, I can’t fix things myself. Only God can. And I am in awe of Him for it.

  1. - Says:

I am unable to respect, fear, or be in awe of a deity whose “servants” go home and beat their children.

The abuse I suffered increased after my parents joined the church and started reading their Bibles every day.

  2. Bridget Wright Says:

Do you think they already had abuse potential before they joined the church and before they started reading their Bibles?

  3. Christopher Says:

How can you be “in awe” of something you personally have not seen, heard, tasted touched or experienced in any way other than what you have told us?

If this “Supreme Being” existed, then it would be able to communicate to us EN MASSE, rather than as individuals, like yourself, claiming to be able to communicate with it….

The only God that exists are the ones WE make….stand in AWE of that….

Do you drive across a bridge relying on faith alone that it will not fall from under you?…Not a bit…..

The Bible, my freind, is “just another book”, and it was written by HUMANS, not some Diety you’ve never experianced….

Parting oceans, great plagues etc…You can bet your life that Jews at AUSCHWITZ got down on their knees and PRAYED for all they were worth….the only thing that could save them was OTHER PEOPLE….

This is by far the worst post here, with you mouthing stuff you read but don’t understand……
Stop using cultist neo-paganism for your own ends….to sell advertising on this site….which is what it’s all about….

Anything else is self-delusion, something all spiritualists SPECIALIZE in.

REVERE HUMANS…..reject supreme beings as CONCEPTS that are outmoded and have no place for educated people in their lives…..remove the advertising from this site and I might well take you SEMI-SERIOUSLY

  4. Christopher Says:

The night we sa a friend of ours RUN OVER, we could have prayed and “stood in awe” all we liked…
A supreme being could have put in a personal appearence and it would not have made ONE BIT OF DIFFERENCE to the outcome….

    Spiritualists are PHONIES….

  5. Aura Says:

    I didn’t write this post.

  6. Bridget Says:

I’m not the author on this blog anymore, but still want to answer this person.

Christopher, God doesn’t have to prove anything to us. That’s why He’s God and we’re not. If you think He’s totally responsible for rescuing us from everything, then your thinking is already messed up. Where can you possibly get the idea of thinking that God is just NOT ever going to allow anything bad to happen to us, even when we bring it upon ourselves. (I am NOT saying your friend deserved anything, so don’t shade my intent).

  7. Christopher Says:

Thats not the point….God does NOT EXIST….humans do….rely on Humanity and beleive in the power of HUMANS….

Your site is not as bad as I first thought…

Congratulations on turning my negative posts into something that can be of use to people….no matter what they beleive…

I am really beginning to ADMIRE your style!

  8. Bridget Says:

    okay…never mind.
